Ruthine Burton
Ruthine is a children’s book illustrator who in 2021 completed the inaugural Pathways into Children’s Publishing programme.
She is based in South West London and her parents came to the UK many years ago, from Dominica and French Guyana.
She has a B.A. hons in Visual Art from University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. Once upon a time she was a pavement portrait artist and subsequently spent several years as an artist in the games industry creating weird and wonderful creatures and environments. She now loves to work on real paper with pastels, pencils or paint, as well as digitally.
Ruthine also has an MSc in Software Engineering and her day job is in IT, managing and administrating E-Learning Systems.
